Women's Ministry Volunteer Director
My name is Sara Simms and I am the Women’s Ministry Volunteer Director here at City Church. I believe that as women, we need other women to walk with us through life and travel alongside us on our faith journeys! I enjoy connecting with women and encouraging them wherever they are in their faith. I am also privileged to have a wonderful women’s leadership team who works with me to create opportunities for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and service for the women of City.
I moved from Indianapolis to Evansville 34 years ago to attend the University of Evansville. I met my husband, Paul, to whom I have been married for 30 years and I have lived here ever since! I have a son and daughter-in-law, Nathan & Mackenna, and a daughter, Dasha. Besides leading the women’s ministry, I have a part-time job and enjoy time with family, listening to audiobooks, baking/cooking, and swimming laps at the Y.
I am not a coffee drinker, but you can sometimes find me at Mission Grounds enjoying a Turmeric Latte tea. It tastes like a warm, spiced hug!
