My name is Lexie Waggoner and I am the Preschool Director here at City Church. In this role, I get to support teachers and families to create a positive and safe learning environment. It is a true statement when someone says that 'it takes a village' to raise children and I love that I get to be a part of that 'village' for multiple families. I get so much enjoyment being a part of a program that simply loves children and aids them to be the best versions of themselves.
I was born in Evansville and have lived in the area my entire life. I was previously a middle school teacher for 6 years before taking this role and my husband is a school principal. So you can say that we revolve around education and children. My husband, Zack, and I have been married for almost 5 years and we have 2 fun and loving kids of our own, Theo and Lucy. At the moment, my children encompass almost all aspects of my life. They even come to work with me every day at the preschool but, when I can catch a moment to myself, I really enjoy crafting, watching a movie or trying a new recipe to cook at home.
My kids and I are always looking for something fun to do around town and we really love our membership to CMOE (Children's Museum of Evansville) here in the downtown area. It is the perfect place for children to learn and explore on those cold or rainy days when you can't go outside.
